Voter registration update for Logan County, Oklahoma headed into in 2025

As Oklahoma prepares for the 2025 election cycle, the latest voter registration figures for Logan County and the state show significant party affiliations and the number of inactive voters from 2024.

In Logan County, there are currently 35,377 registered voters, with the majority affiliating with the Republican Party. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Republican: 22,032 total voters (20,682 active, 1,350 inactive)
  • Democrat: 6,515 total voters (5,552 active, 963 inactive)
  • Independent: 6,473 total voters (5,532 active, 941 inactive)
  • Libertarian: 357 total voters (316 active, 41 inactive)

Republicans make up 62.3% of the registered voters in Logan County, while Democrats account for 18.4% and Independents represent 18.3%. Interestingly, there are 42 more registered Democrats than Independents in the county.

At the state level, Oklahoma has a total of 2,466,348 registered voters. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Republican: 1,297,364 total voters (1,190,280 active, 107,084 inactive)
  • Democrat: 657,833 total voters (561,881 active, 95,952 inactive)
  • Independent: 487,399 total voters (402,741 active, 84,658 inactive)
  • Libertarian: 23,752 total voters (20,020 active, 3,732 inactive)

Republicans hold a commanding lead, comprising 52.6% of the total registered voters in Oklahoma, while Democrats make up 26.7% and Independents 19.8%. Libertarians represent 1.0% of the voter population in the state.

Inactive voters have not participated in an election for four consecutive general election cycles, typically covering eight years. These voters have also not responded to address verification letters the Oklahoma State Election Board sent.

Voters whose status is marked as inactive can become active again in two ways:

  1. Voting in any election – municipal, school district, or any federal, state, or county election.
  2. Updating voter registration – by changing their name or registering at a new address within the same county.
