Guthrie High School senior basketball guard will keep the same logo after signing with the Tabor Bluejays on Thursday inside the school’s gymnasium.
“I came up here (gym) many a nights and saw her and her daddy, and sometimes just her, shooting and trying to get better,” athletic director Jon Chappell said to begin the signing ceremony.
Head coach Breck Clark said Morgan is an outstanding student-athlete.
“I can’t think of anybody else more deserving, “Clark said of her third-team all-district player. “She has sacrificed her summers, playing travel ball, and she has done what she has needed to do in the classroom.”
On the floor, Clark said Morgan did everything a coach could ask for, including being a leader.
“She did a lot of the little things that not everybody is willing to do as a high school player,” Clark said.
The coach wished Morgan nothing but the best moving forward.
“I am so proud of you. I hope that you have everything in the future that you want. I know you are going to go and do good things and be a big part of the Tabor program.
Tabor College is located in Hillsboro Kansas.
