Watch: Bluejays hit the road for Fall Break game at Western Heights

It’s Fall Break in Oklahoma, and the Guthrie Bluejays will spend it on the road in Oklahoma City as they take on the Western Heights Jets for another district matchup.

Guthrie enters the game riding a five-game winning streak and a perfect 3-0 record in district play following last week’s dominant 42-0 shutout over El Reno inside Jelsma Stadium. The Jays, now 5-1 overall, look to continue their strong play as they chase another postseason berth.

Western Heights, meanwhile, is still searching for its first win of the season. The Jets are 0-6 overall and 0-3 in district action, but continue to show grit and improvement under their young roster.

The Bluejays will look to keep their offense rolling behind junior quarterback Daelon Rice and a balanced attack that produced over 350 total yards last week. Guthrie’s defense, one of the best in Class 5A, will aim for another standout performance after allowing just 50 total yards in their last outing.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at Western Heights High School. Fans can watch the game live on GNP TV with the pregame show beginning at 6:30 p.m.
