Lawton Eisenhower qualified for the Class 5A playoffs a season ago thanks, in part, to RJ Fisher. With the graduation of Fisher, the Eagles have struggled for success and will play their final game of the season Friday night.
Guthrie enters with a 7-2 overall record, 4-2 district record and a guaranteed third place finish in the district. Which means a first round playoff trip next week to either Altus or Duncan.
Lawton Ike enters with a 2-7 overall record and 2-4 in district play.
On their home turf, the Eagles are endangered of going 0-5 with a loss.
The Eagles started the season by going 0-4 before getting a week five win over Northwest Classen.
The Eagles offense has struggled to find points all season.
In their six losses, they have only managed to score 58 points and have been shut-out by McGuinness and Piedmont.
Overall, Lawton Ike is allowing 38 points per game.
The Bluejays, who were defeated on this field a year ago to the Eagles, will look to get into a rhythm with a tall challenge awaiting them next week in the playoffs.
