Watch: Guthrie Baseball at Piedmont

The Guthrie Bluejays travel to Piedmont on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. first pitch. The Dugout Show with Chris Evans begins at 4:45 p.m.

The Wildcats run-ruled the Jays, 12-0, in six innings on Monday inside Squires Field.

Piedmont will enter with a 6-5 record while the Jays currently hold a 5-3 overall record. In district play, Piedmont is a perfect at 3-0 and the Jays stand at 0-3.

The Jays fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-0 loss to Piedmont.

Leading 6-0 after five innings, Piedmont scored six runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Piedmont came thanks to a home run by Caleb Kreklau, a single by Noah Ellis, a single by McDermott, a single by Easton McClure and a walk.

Guthrie managed only four hits off of Koy Priddy, who pitched six innings, surrendering zero runs, four hits, striking out four and walking zero. Guthrie’s Mitchell Taft led the way with two hits.
