Wife hospitalized, husband jailed after domestic stabbing

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations, is investigating a domestic violence case that left a wife hospitalized and a husband in jail.

The incident in southern Logan County occurred just after 10 p.m. on Friday at a home in the Silverfield addition, located off Santa Fe Road north of Simmons Road.

Deputies responded to reports of a woman being stabbed by a male, later revealed to be her husband.

The woman sustained multiple stab wounds, allegedly inflicted by her husband, 71-year-old Don Gable.

A family member, believed to be the couple’s son, intervened to stop the attack.

Both the husband and wife were transported by Miller EMS to OU Medical Center for treatment. There is no updated information on the condition of the female. However, she was expected to be released as soon as Saturday.

Gable was released from the medical staff, transported, and booked into the Logan County Detention Center. He’s expected to be formally arraigned in court this week.

Don Gable is accused of stabbing his wife multiple times at their home in southern Logan County.
