Wings of Hope expands “Hope Takes Flight” Butterfly Program to Guthrie

Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services has officially expanded its transformative “Hope Takes Flight” Butterfly Program to Guthrie, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s efforts to support victims of domestic violence.

The program began in 2011 and features handcrafted and custom-painted butterfly statues that symbolize hope and transformation.

On Tuesday, the Guthrie Public Library, in collaboration with Wings of Hope and the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the new Hope Takes Flight Butterfly statue at the library. This Bluejay-blue butterfly not only adds a vibrant touch to the community but also stands as a powerful symbol of the safety and comfort available within the walls of the Guthrie Public Library.

Each butterfly statue in the program supports critical services for victims of domestic violence, with proceeds directly aiding women and children in need of shelter. Expanding into Guthrie signifies a growing commitment to providing resources and support to those in Logan County and beyond.

Wings of Hope serves domestic violence shelters across Logan, Payne, Noble, Pawnee, and Lincoln counties, offering a wide range of services including counseling, victim advocacy, court accompaniment, prevention outreach, and parenting classes.
