The City of Guthrie is thrilled to announce our enthusiastic support for the Wreaths Across America campaign, set to take place at Summit View Cemetery. This meaningful event will be held on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, at 11 a.m., where fresh wreaths will be placed on over 1,600 veteran graves immediately following a heartfelt ceremony.
Wreaths Across America is an organization dedicated to three core principles: REMEMBER the Fallen, HONOR those who Serve, and TEACH our children the value of Freedom. The volunteer work they do is a testament to these principles, and this year, Guthrie is proud to contribute to this noble cause.
The City of Guthrie invites everyone to help lay wreaths at as many graves as possible. To sponsor a wreath, please visit Wreaths Across America and click the red “Sponsor” button. Individual wreath sponsorships are just $17.00 each. Additionally, if you would like to volunteer for the wreath-laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name. Don’t forget to also click the “Invite” button to invite your friends and family to join us in honoring every veteran.
