You know what they say — April showers bring May flowers, but that did not keep several young anglers from hitting Guthrie Lake for Mercy Health Foundation’s Fishing Tournament.
The event was held Saturday morning as they rain came falling down.
In the children’s category, Jeramiah King, Lindsey Schroeder, Sullivan Tucker and Kaya Wheeler came away as the winners.
Lee Bennett, Blain Smedley and Mark Wheaton were crowned winners in the adult category.
Harry Downs won the Yeti cooler in the raffle draw while Diana Street and Kiersten Leonard won a six month family membership to the Guthrie YMCA.
