The Guthrie Lady Jays win over Class 5A’s 6th ranked Western Heights has prevailed them into this week’s Top 20.
Guthrie enters at No. 18 while Western Heights stays at No. 6 despite two losses.
The Lady Hornets of Booker T. Washington continue to be the top team followed by East Central and McGuinness.
The top 20 ranking comes for the first time since the 2007-2008 season when they won the regional championship. The only lost for the Lady Jays was to Shawnee, who at the time was ranked fifth, in the season opener. The Lady Wolves continue to hold down the fifth spot.
