An earthquake struck near the city of Guthrie Friday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 3.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded at around 11:20 a.m.
The precise location was 20 miles southeast of Guthrie, 22 miles northeast of Oklahoma City, 26 miles north-northwest of Shawnee and 32 miles south-southwest of Stillwater. Its epicenter was located about one mile southeast of Luther.
Many people in town did not feel the small quake that was about five miles deep.
No injuries or damage were immediately reported in this earthquake.
The last earthquake near the Guthrie area was when a 3.2 magnitude earthquake Novermber 28, 2011 at 6:52 a.m. That quake was about 22 miles southeast of Guthrie and 27 miles east-northeast of Oklahoma City.
