The Lady Jays tennis team is state bound after an impressive regionals showing on Monday at Heritage Hall.
All six Lady Jays will compete this week (Friday and Saturday) at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
#1 Singles Cheyenne Royal Placed 4th
In the first round she defeated WesternHeights 7-5, 6-1
In the second round she lost to Deer Creek 6-0, 6-0
In the qualifying round she defeated Southeast 6-2, 6-3
In the match for third she lost to Shawnee 6-0, 6-0
#2 Singles Heidi Kuruvilla placed 4th
In the first round she defeated Southeast 6-0, 6-0
In the second round she lost to Shawnee 6-2, 6-2
In the qualifying round she defeated WesternHeights 6-4, 7-5
In the match for third she defaulted to Deer Creek due to a foot injury
#1 Doubles Jillian Chappell and Carissa Mathena placed 2nd
In the first round they defeated Capital Hill 6-0, 6-0
In the semi-finals they defeated Deer Creek 5-7, 6-2, 6-2
In the finals they lost to Heritage Hall 6-4, 6-0
#2 Doubles Sarah Howells and Ryan Robbins placed 2nd
In the first round they defeated Capitol Hill 6-1, 6-0
In the semi-finals they defeated Deer Creek 6-3, 6-2
