 Mercy Hospital Logan County needs your help this Thursday, May 2nd  and will buy you lunch for your time.  Discussion will be about our local Health Care needs. The luncheon will be held at 312 W. Logan County Council on Aging is having a pancake breakfast this Saturday from 7a.m to 10a.m. in the American Legion Building. Adults are $6, twelve and under are $3. Come on out and support the Council on Aging!

Relay for Life is this Friday, May 3rd at Mineral Wells Park. They begin at 5:30p.m. the public is welcome! They have assorted gift baskets for their silent auction; Children’s tent and team booth are open. Opening Ceremonies begin at 7p.m. live auction from 8:30 to 9p.m. 9:30a.m. Hair cut donations for cancer patient wigs. 9:50 the highest bidder will get to put a pie in the face of Officer Hamilton of the Guthrie Police Dept.  The Luminary Ceremony is from 10p.m. to 11p.m. At midnight a group picture and the Fight Back Ceremony begins. 1a.m. to 5a.m. there will be entertainment and games. 3a.m. are Team pictures, 4p.m waffles at Mission Possible campsite! 5:30 the good morning song and closing ceremonies at 6:30a.m.    

The Farmers Market will be in full swing in six weeks. We will open the first Saturday in June from 8 a.m. to noon. Our market is 100 percent home grow and will be located on First Street between Harrison and Oklahoma Avenue. There is still time to apply, just give us a call to find out how.

We are collecting names of people who would be interested in taking a computer course. We have a good deal of interest, but need a few more for the class. It will be a 3 hour class and will teach the basics of using your computer. Please contact us for a brief questionnaire if you or someone you know is interested. 282-1947

Our Educational Series is May 14th and will be hosted by Dr. Nathan Proud, who will be teaching us how to keep our smile. Dr.Proud s practice is located at 324 N. 19th Street Suite 2. Lunch will be provided so please rsvp!

Next week’s Chamber Coffee will be hosted by Companion Home Health! They are located at 1320 E. Oklahoma. Bring a friend and business cards; we begin at 9:30a.m.
