BancFirst was recently named as a top performing bank in the country, according to Forbes. “America’s Best and Worst Banks,” an article written by Kurt Badenhausen, ranked 100 of the largest publicly traded banks and thrifts nationwide. BancFirst ranked 10 on the 2015 list, improving its position from the 2014 list. BancFirst remains the top ranked Oklahoma-based bank on the Forbes annual list.
Forbes utilized financial data provider SNL Financial to supply the information used to rank the banks on the list. Nine metrics were used to establish the rankings including asset quality, capital adequacy and profitability. The data collected was based on regulatory filings of banks and thrifts.
Regarding this recognition, BancFirst Guthrie president, LaVerne Dowding said, “To receive this designation for the fourth consecutive year shows BancFirst’s stability and commitment to the financial health of our company.”
Dowding went on to say,”Third party recognition like this – especially from such a well-respected business organization – demonstrates our loyalty to our customers, our community and our state.”
