Big XII makes first official offer to Belcher

It was just a matter of time, but a member of the  Big XII conference has made it first official offer to Guthrie’s top offensive lineman Blake Belcher.

The Iowa State Cyclones made the offer to the 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle. Iowa State joins Oregon State, Arizona, Tulsa, and Stanford as early offers to the current junior.

Belcher emerged on the recruiting scene prior to his sophomore year for the BlueJays with a strong performance at the Tulsa Schuman combine and has since emerged as one of the state’s best lineman. In fact, many outlet’s have him as the top offensive lineman prospect in the state.

The Cyclones have hit the Sooner state over the last few seasons hard and currently have three Oklahoman’s on their current roster. Iowa State finished the 2010 season by losing their last three games and finished with a 5-7 record.

The BlueJays have produced recent Division I football players such as David Washington, Kyle Smith, Kye Staley, Donte’ Foster, and Kentrell Brothers.
