Bluejays defeats Westmoore 5-4

Beau Davis went 2-2, helping Bluejays to a 5-4 victory over Westmoore on Thursday at Yukon.

He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.

Reed Roberts struck out nine, paving the way for a Bluejays win. Reed allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings.

Two runs gave Westmoore a leg up after neither team scored for most of the game. Westmoore scored on an RBI double by Hunter Southerland and an RBI single by Kyle Midovsley.

Westmoore got one-run rallies in the sixth inning and the seventh. In the sixth, Westmoore scored on an RBI single by Tristin Tipps, bringing home Kyle Midovsley.

Bluejays quickly matched Westmoore’s strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the seventh. Bluejays scored on a sacrifice fly by Reed and an error.
