Early lead gives Guthrie easy victory over Southeast, 26-1

Bluejays jumped out to an early lead on Southeast and captured a 26-1 victory on Tuesday.

Seventeen runs in the first three innings allowed Bluejays to put the game away early.

A solo home run by Jacob Chappell, an RBI double by Blaze Hastings, an RBI single by Grant Towler, a two-run single by Zane Maltz, a two-run double by Donovan Jordan, a sacrifice fly by Rowdy Reihs, and a two-run home run byReed Roberts in the first inning and an RBI double by Zane, a two-run double by Donovan, an RBI single by Rowdy, an RBI double by Reed, and a two-run home run by Blaze during the second inning fueled Bluejays’ offense early.

Bluejays hit six home runs in the win. Additional home runs for Bluejays came when Jeremy Walli homered in the fifth inning, Braden Davenport homered in the fifth inning, and Beau Davis homered in the fifth inning.

Reed racked up three RBIs on three hits for Bluejays.

Zane recorded the win for Bluejays. He allowed one run over five innings. Zane struck out five, walked two and gave up two hits.

Bluejays hammered Southeast pitching as 11 hitters had a field day, combining for 26 hits, 24 RBIs and 23 runs scored.

Chamber was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed 12 runs in four innings, walked none and struck out three.
