Bobby Stevens was able to make it out of his burning house alive. However, when he stepped outside, the only items he owned was the clothes he was wearing. Now, one of his coworkers is looking to help get Bobby going once again.
Bobby lost all of his belongings in a house fire on Oct. 22, including his vehicle. Related article: Video: Fire destroys home on town’s west side
“I have known Bobby for over 20 years growing up in Guthrie,” Lt. Mark Bruning with the Guthrie Police Department said. “Bobby has devoted 15 years of his life to the City of Guthrie working a as police dispatcher.”
With no insurance on the home, Bobby is literally starting completely over.
A GoFundMe has been created to help the cause. Bruning says for anyone who does not want to donate online, they can take a contribution — in the form of a check or gift card — to the Guthrie Police Department.
“If you are unable to donate please share with friends so we can help Bobby who is a good friend to so many people,” Bruning added.
