Any win is a good win, but Guthrie’s Caden Hopfer claimed a huge tournament win and a high-quality win in the finals.
Hopfer won the Carl Albert 16 team tennis tournament on Friday.
He defeated Norman’s Michael Grunsted 6-3, 6-4 in the finals.
Grunstedt was the 6A state runner up at No. 1 singles last year.
Head coach Mary Hudson described it simply by saying, “Big win!”
