CASA For Kids will be hosting an outdoor event for their annual Spring Fundraiser.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children is a network of 933 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates —empowered directly by the courts —offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.
With your support last year, they were able to serve more than 200 children. It costs on average $2,000 to provide a volunteer for each child served. Every dollar raised at the event stays right here in our community.
This year’s event is set for May 15 at the Sparrow Event Center in Stillwater. The 6 p.m. event will include food trucks, tables seating up to eight guests, open bar, band and live and silent auction items.
