The Seventh Annual Licorice Festival begins April 10th through the 14th at Aunt Gertrude’s House located at 112 E. Oklahoma. Enjoy luscious licorice from around the globe.

Harrison’s Chicken House is giving back into our community! Every second Tuesday of the month from 6p.m. to 8p.m. a portion of your bill will be donated back to Pepper’s Ranch. The last day to take advantage of this offer is August 13th. Pepper’s Ranch Foster Care Community seeks to “break the cycle” of child abuse and neglect through loving homes, counseling and growth-oriented activities. By creating a network of caring foster parents and adult mentors on whom children can depend. Peppers Ranch is committed to providing a safe and secure environment where physical and emotional wounds can heal.

This Saturday is packed full of things to do and see! Our local Master Gardner’s are having a plant sale in the back of Rosa Bella located at 117 W. Harrison, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Guthrie Art Walk hours this Saturday are from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.The following businesses are hosting artists; Gallery Grazioso, 301 W. Oklahoma, G Gallery & Glass Studio, 110 E. Oklahoma, Aunt Gertrude’s House, 112 E. Oklahoma, The Heritage Collection, 118 W. Oklahoma, The Pollard Theatre, 120 W. Harrison, Carol Ann’s Boutique/Vencedora Designs, 122 W. Oklahoma and Prairie Gothic, 118 S. Second. The Guthrie Community Garden located across the pond from Mineral Wells Park invites the entire community to help them plant vegetables for this summer’s harvest from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Bring some water to keep hydrated, they have tools there to get things done. Crops will be donated to God’s Food Bank.

Load up the car and take the kids to Touch the Trucks at the Logan County Fairgrounds from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday the 14. Kids love this; they can climb and explore different kinds of vehicles such as Fire trucks, Four Wheelers, Police cars and much more.

Horse Feathers Equine Rescue located at 6320 N. Hwy 74C, has scheduled spring work days the 27th and 28th of this month. They are looking for volunteers to help painting fences, repairing fences, grooming horses, cleaning up brush, raking, etc. Bring a camper or tent and stay the night, for more information contact Cheri White Owl at 315-2928.

This week’s Chamber Coffee will be hosted by Interbank located at 224 E. Oklahoma. Everyone is welcome; we begin at 9:30a.m.
