Zane Winkelman attends Guthrie High School and is working on his Eagle Project for the Boy Scouts. The Eagle Rank is the highest achievable rank in the BSA. One of the requirements to attain this rank is the eagle project. This is a service project that must be done for a not for profit organization. The scout must research, organize, and lead the project. The project must be approved by his troop leadership then his district leadership and finally the leadership of the organization the project is benefiting. Zane’s vision is to help the Guthrie Public Library landscape their South garden. He is working with the Master Gardeners but needs some material once the project has been approved by the historic preservation committee. Please give us a call at the chamber office if you are interested in helping Zane obtain this prestigious goal, 282-1947.
