Motorists will need to avoid a city intersection beginning on Tuesday as a construction crew will begin makig repairs.
City officials said the 1st Street and Springer intersection will be closed off for approximate three days.
Guthrie Public Works Superintendent Tenny Maker said Rudy Construction will be replacing a few of the panels in the intersection due to the stamp pattern not holding up.
Over the summer time, the once brick intersection was turned into a concrete colored and stamped intersection along with the addition of French drains and ADA sidewalk approaches.
Crews believe too much releasing agent may have been used during the construction.
The project cost, including engineering fees and contingencies, was $193,750.70. The additional repairs this week will be at no cost to the City.
