The City of Guthrie is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest, conviction and return of lawn equipment that was stolen from the city’s cemetery.

Summit View CemeteryCity Manager Sereniah Breland said thieves broke into the storage sheds at Summit View Cemetery, located on Pine in the northeast part of town, and got away with a trailer, four-commercial zero turn lawnmowers, eight weed-eaters, several yard blowers and two chain saws.

The two sheds, that stored all of the equipment, were also damaged.

The mowers are estimated to be worth $10,000 each.

Breland said a police report was filed. Officials have alerted surrounding agencies along with part stores.

The City is asking for public input and urged anyone that has any information regarding the crime to contact the Guthrie Police Department at 405-282-3535.
