City sales tax down for second straight month

For the second straight month, sales tax dollars are down for the City of Guthrie.

The City of Guthrie Sales Tax Collection for December 2018 is $60,370.64, or 10.43 percent, less than want was collected in December 2017.

For the first three months of the City’s budget year (fiscal year 2018-19) sales tax collections are down $81,665.48, or minus 4.88 percent,as compared to the first three months of last budget year.

December’s collection came in $518,240.44 compared to $578,611.08 in 2017.

With the first three months in the books, the City is now 6.77 percent below ($115,731) their projection.
