A familiar name in the Guthrie music community will take center stage later this month as a featured soloist with the Oklahoma Chamber Symphony.
Guthrie High School graduate Colton Privette will perform as the horn soloist during the symphony’s upcoming concert, “Transformation & Triumph,” set for Friday, April 17, at 7 p.m. at First Church OKC.
Privette, who now serves as a music teacher at Guthrie Upper Elementary School, continues to make an impact both in the classroom and on the stage. His selection as the featured soloist highlights his musical talent and dedication to his craft.
The concert, conducted by Kaleb Benda, will include a performance of Richard Strauss’ Horn Concerto No. 1, showcasing Privette’s abilities on the horn.
The evening’s program will also feature works by Louise Farrenc and Franz Schubert as part of a night centered on musical growth and achievement.
Admission to the concert is free.
