County Clerk warns residents of tax scam targeting Logan County

The Logan County Clerk’s office has been made aware of a new scam making the rounds in the county.

A letter stating it is a final demand for payment of taxes to the State of Oklahoma purportedly from the Tax Processing Unit, Internal Processing Service, Logan County Public Judgement Records is being sent to residents.

Clerk Troy Cole says Logan County nor the State of Oklahoma are sending these notices.

Cole is telling residents not to send any funds or give any personal information to anyone they have not personally confirmed to be a legitimate government agency.
