The three Logan County Commissioners met last week in their regular session meeting with Chairman Mark Sharpton, member Monty Piearcy and member Mike Pearson.
The first call of duty was to approve the minutes of the May 31, June 1 and June 6 with all three dates approved.
Among the items on the agenda was a contract with Millie Vance, Inc., in the amount of $3000.00, to perform administrative services for Logan County was approved as was a contract with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce for a $50,000 grant for road project in District #3.
A motion was adopted for the Justice Assistance Grant application in the amount of $10,000 for the purchase of equipment for the Sheriff’s Department.
Numerous car vehicles, machinery and equipment lease purchase equipments were approved for renewal for the 2011 – 2012 fiscal year for District one and two.
The resignation of Randall Blood was approved from the Crescent Ambulance Board and approved the recommendation of Craig Lott to the same position.
Royal Printing was the only bid for printed election ballots and were awarded.
All districts were approved to receive rock from Quapaw Co. Quapaw was one of five bids for the project. T & W Tire was approved for the best bid for tires and tubes, and Dale Brown Inc. was approved for all three districts for rock/hauling.
