The Coyle Elementary SWAT team conducted a Cigarette Butt Pickup on Friday March 30, 2012 from 10:30 AM until 1:30 PM.

This activity took place in the Coyle Park which is located behind Coyle’s bus barn on Cottenham St.

Coyle’s SWAT team will use information gain from the park pick up event and “In the Clear” campaign surveys to be presented to the Coyle City Council.  During the Coyle City Council meeting, the SWAT Team along with coalition supporters will advocate for all city-owned properties (including the park, vehicles, etc.) to become tobacco-free.

The Logan County community is showing its support for this event by providing assistance in organizing this event and by providing lunch (sandwich, chips, drinks, and cookies) for all participants. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their donations.

Sponsors for this event include, Coyle Elementary School, Smitty’s One Stop/Subway, the Langston University Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Office, and the Langston University School of Nursing and Health Professions.
