First year Coyle Superintendent Terry Zink has tested positive for COVID, the school announced Wednesday morning in a letter. The school district is now encouraging parents to pick up students from school.
Classes are canceled for Thursday, Aug. 20 and virtual learning will begin on Monday, Aug. 24.
The district plans to return to the classroom on Monday, Aug. 31 if administration rules its safe to do so.
The school acted quickly to cancel classes after Zink had recently visited each classroom.
Coyle’s first day of classes were held on Aug. 10.
