Dane Lausen announced as the next Guthrie Fire Chief

Dane Lausen has been selected as the next Fire Chief for the City of Guthrie.

Lausen has been with the Guthrie Fire Department since 2009, most recently serving as a Lieutenant/A-EMT.

Lausen takes over for Eric Harlow, who is retiring after 20-plus years of service, including 12 years as fire chief in Guthrie.

In addition to his duties as Lieutenant, Lausen has served his colleagues as the International Association Firefighter (IAFF) Local #2145 President since 2017.

He earned his Emergency Medical Technician from OSU-OKC in 2009. In 2017, he earned the Emergency Medical Technician – Advanced from Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center in Choctaw.

Lausen is married and has two children. He was born and raised in Guthrie and is a graduate of Guthrie Public Schools.
