An elderly driver was able to avoid severe injuries after blacking out behind the wheel on Christmas Day.
Emergency personnel responded south of Camp Road on Sooner Road just before noon for the single vehicle accident.
An 83-year-old female traveled approximately 50 yards on the grassy shoulder before hitting a concrete embankment. She avoided street signs and fencing along the shoulder.
The four-door vehicle suffered front end damage and was later towed.
The driver was treated at the scene by Guthrie EMS after suffering a head injury.
Traffic was limited to one lane for 20 minutes.
