Driver ejected over 300 feet in vehicle accident

A Perry man was admitted in good condition in a Oklahoma City hospital following a one vehicle accident in Langston.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2016 Cadillac Deville was eastbound on State Highway 33 on December 23 just after 10 p.m. near Sammy Davis Jr. Drive

For an unknown reason, the vehicle lost control and departed the roadway to the left.  The Cadillac struck a culvert and rolled an unknown amount of times and coming to rest on its top. 

The driver was ejected approximately 305 feet away from the vehicle.

OHP says the driver was driving at a high rate of speed, but the cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Anthony Bourland, 39, was mediflighted to OU Medical Center and was admitted with head, arm and leg injuries.

OHP was assisted with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Guthrie EMS, Coyle Fire Department and the Langston University Police Department.

    Cadillac didn’t make a deVille in 2016. If it is a deVille, it’s much older.
