A driver attempted to pass a vehicle on State Highway 74 early Saturday morning and in the process left the roadway resulting in the vehicle overturning several times. Troopers say alcohol may have played a factor.
Emergency crews were dispatched on mile north of Crescent on SH-74 at 2:50 a.m.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Brandy Crawford, 24, of Mead, Okla. was traveling northbound on SH-74 and went left of center to pass another vehicle, then departed roadway to the left.
The vehicle struck a concrete culvert where it rolled an undetermined amount of time coming to rest on the wheels.
Crawford, who was pinned for approximately 10 minutes and freed by Crescent Fire, was transported by Miller EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
She was admitted in good condition with arm and trunk internal injuries.
The trooper listed the condition of the driver as “odor of alcohol” and cause of the collision as “excess speed.”
