A total of 13 candidates filed with the Logan County Election Board this week to seek office for the Guthrie city council and various boards of education.
Candidates for the Guthrie city council and mayor position, along with Board of Education candidates throughout Logan County, can begin filing their declaration of candidacy on December 3.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) has awarded more than $1.7 million to stabilize and improve Emergency Medical Service (EMS) programs in the state. An early morning two-vehicle accident south of Crescent claimed the life of one person and another to the hospital.
A Logan County jury found a man guilty on three counts of rape in the first degree and three counts of lewd molestation charges arising from the man’s sexual abuse of his two daughters and one of their friends. The verdict came down on Thursday afternoon.

The City of Crescent is having a 10-day amnesty period for unpaid tickets from September 11 through September 21. During this time, the City will waive all failure to appear, pay and comply fees attached to citations that are unpaid. The failure to appear (FTA) fee is usually 300 dollars.
