Central Elementary fourth grade student Ember Radford was named Guthrie Public Schools Student of the Month. The program is sponsored here locally by Foundation Insurance.
GPS and Blake Wimsey (pictured left) with Foundation Insurance have teamed up for the fourth straight year to honor students for the character traits.
Ember was nominated by her teachers Lesley Cotton and Greg Friese for the character traits of kindness and dedication.
“She puts forth 100% of everything she doe and encourages her peers to give all they have in their academics as well,” Cotton said.
Her positive outlook and generosity help her maintain the true Bluejay way.
“Ember has set her own personal goals for both reading and math this year, needless to say she has surpassed them all. The excitement for learning that she brings to our school brightens all of our days,” Cotton said.
Ember was presented with a $50 Walmart gift certificate.
