Fire departments fighting large grass fire in Logan County

Update at 4:13 p.m. – This second fire is being described as a medium grass fire.

Update at 4:02 p.m. – Fire officals are now en route to a second grass fire. They are responding right now to the area of Santa Fe and Triplett to the south.

Update at 2:34 p.m. – Fire officials say the fire is now under control. They will remain on scene to put out hot spots.

Update at 2:25 p.m. –  Fire reported to be back burning to the east. Fire crews continue to work the area.

Update at 2:22 p.m. – Winds are blowing from the east at 12 mph and gusting at 19 mph.

Update at 2:16 p.m. – Fire crews believe they got a good knock down on the head and south flank of the fire.

Several fire departments have been dispatched near the area of Pennsylvania and Industrial roads for a large grass fire.

Guthrie, Cashion, Woodcrest and Oak Cliff fire departments have been called to the area.
