First United Presbyterian Church of Guthrie has called Jennifer Bozarth to serve in the position of Outreach Coordinator. The purpose of this new role is to create new channels of support to address needs in our community.
“Jennifer is a natural fit for this role, as she is a life-long member of the Guthrie community and serves the community in many ways,” a church spokesperson said.
Jennifer is a board member of God’s Food Bank, created and manages Vision Farms and also serves as the coordinator for Brunch on Noble, a meal ministry which offers a warm meal at no charge every Saturday morning.
Brunch on Noble (BON) is hosted in the Fellowship Hall of First United Presbyterian, 102 East Noble Ave. BON recently celebrated it’s fourth anniversary!
As an historic congregation, established in 1889, First United Presbyterian Church has a long history of involvement in the community. History records show that the church held a fundraiser to support those affected by the California earthquake of 1906.
“The Presbyterian Women’s group has always had a heart for mission, as evidenced by their annual September Circle of Friends brunch which raises funds for organizations in Logan County that support women and children.”
Jennifer will assist the congregation in creating partnerships with other organizations in Guthrie that are working to improve the quality of life for Guthrie residents.
