Every year during elections many are encouraged to get out and vote. Flo Olds made sure she casted her vote despite having to do it from a hospital bed. Of course, why would she miss now? She hasn’t missed a vote for nearly 70 years.
Just days before her 88th birthday, Olds casted her special absentee ballot from her hospital bed at Guthrie Mercy Tuesday morning.
“I’ll bet I’m the only patient here voting today!” a smiling Olds said.
She had not planned on a trip to the hospital two days before the election, and so arrangements were made so that she would not miss her life-long tradition.
Olds, a member of First Capitol Republican Women’s Club, urges everyone to vote today.
“It is our duty and our privilege as American citizens.”
Go Flo !!! You make us all proud to know you. FCRW member NN
