In the past, swift water rescues were undertaken to free motorists who drove into flood water. For your own safety, please respect high water signs and barricades and do not attempt to drive through flooded areas. A few inches of water can sweep a vehicle from the roadway. Water covering the roadway may also disguise the fact that the road is no longer intact.
