Guthrie Upper Elementary School’s Gina Wright was named the Support Staff Employee of the Month for Guthrie Public Schools.
Wright, who is a school secretary, was nominated by GUES sixth grade teacher Brent Lemmons.
“Have you ever known someone who, no matter what you throw at them, always seems to find a way to make it work with a smile on their face,” Lemmons asked? “Gina is one of those people.”
Wright is credited with helping new teachers with procedures.
“Above and beyond doesn’t begin to touch all that she does for the students and staff. She even finds time to send a weekly email thanking the staff for being awesome. She is the epitome of grace under fire and is deserving of this award because of it.”
The Guthrie Lions Club presented a plaque to the Wright and Sonic at I-35 and Highway 33 donated a $25 Sonic gift card.
