A GoFundMe account has been created to help the Twin Lakes Fire Department to begin their rebuild following a devastating fire that destroyed their building and equipment.
With all the department’s equipment, including fire trucks, the damage is estimated to be in the millions. Related article: Video: Twin Lakes Fire Department destroyed by fire
The GoFundMe organizer explains, “They will rebuild, but even with insurance it will be a very expensive endeavor as this very dedicated crew of legacy volunteers have logged an unimaginable number of hours making improvements, building trucks, and making this the best firehouse possible.”
Guthrie Fire Department Chief Eric Harlow said six trucks, a small ATV, a tractor and all the contents in the building, their protective equipment, their office, their tools and other stuff like that was a total loss.
The campaign raised close to $2,000 in the first four hours.
