Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company is ending its grace period for delinquent customers.
OG&E announced that they would not disconnect residential service in the month of August to help those struggling to pay their electric bills.
The grace period ends the day after Labor Day.
Brian Alford, OG&E’s spokesperson, said the moratorium on cutoffs helped several thousand people from getting their service cut off.
In July and August OG&E offered installment plans to 44,000 customers. Another 15,000 took advantage of the average monthly billing option.
If you have a question concerning your bill or have not paid your OG&E bill you can call 800-272-9741 from 8a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
