Perhaps the most anticipated race locally was the state Senate District 20 office between incumbent A.J. Griffin and Republican challenger Dan Ladd. With just over 5,000 votes, Griffin secured the win and now prepares for her second term.

Griffin (R-Guthrie) collected 65 percent or 5,094 votes compared to Ladd’s 35 percent with 2,747 votes in the Primary Election. The results will be certified by the state on Friday.

With no Democrat or Independent on the ballot, Griffin will serve her second four-year term.

“I look forward to serving my friends and neighbors for four more years as we move Oklahoma forward and protect the way of life,” Griffin told Guthrie News Page.

Griffin won each county in District 20 including, Logan, Kingfisher, Noble and Pawnee counties.
