After nearly eight years on the job, Schellon Stanley resigned from her duties as the Airport Manager for the Guthrie Edmond Regional Airport.
Her resignation was effective on April 27.
“I am grateful for all the support from Mayor Gentling, City Council, you (former City Manager Leroy Alsup), and all the department head directors, during my time here,” Stanley said in a resignation letter to Alsup.
In 2020, Stanley was named the Airport Manager of the Year by members of the Oklahoma Airport Operators Association (OAOA).
The airport board is set to meet Tuesday, May 9 for their regular scheduled meeting to discuss and update the open airport manager position.
Stanley was hired in July 2015 after serving as the Airport Operations Officer at OU Westheimer Airport in Norman. In addition, Stanley has served as a site manager and instructor at Sooner Flight Academy.
