During the upcoming weekend (September 17-19), the Guthrie-area Scouts of all ages are celebrating many years in the community. This celebration will be held at Cottonwood Flats in Guthrie.
The event will be open to the public and camping gear will be available on a first come, first served basis.
This year, the Boy Scout Troop is celebrating 106 years. The Cub Scout Pack is celebrating 75 years. The Venturing Crew is celebrating 18 years. The Troop, Pack and Crew are all chartered by Guthrie’s First United Methodist Church and have been since their inception.
Scouting in Guthrie has been a steady adventure for families and we look forward to making more memories together.
During the weekend campout, games, crafts, walking sticks, camping, campfire program, sno-cones and amateur radio demonstrations will be a part of the activities.
