OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma House of Representatives recognized Guthrie resident Dr. P. David Hunter as the Doctor of the Day on Monday, Feb. 14.
Hunter was presented on the House floor by Rep. Garry Mize, R-Guthrie, who then gave him a citation thanking him for his years of service.
Hunter graduated from the University of Kentucky. He practiced otolaryngology, the study of ears, nose and throat, and served as chief of surgery and chief of staff at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. He recently retired after more than 40 years of practice.
“Dr. Hunter has spent decades working to improve the lives and health of thousands of Oklahomans,” Mize said. “His years of work has made Oklahoma a better place, and I was proud to present him before the House as the Doctor of the Day and proud that he calls Guthrie home.”
