Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport to host 11th annual Community Day & Fly-In

The Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport invites the community to its 11th Annual Community Day & Fly-In on Saturday, September 7th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This FREE family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity for kids and families to explore a variety of aircraft displays, savor delicious treats from local food trucks, and enjoy complimentary flights provided by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) for children aged 8-17.

To participate in the flights, pre-register at yeday.org, or sign up in person at Hangar #2 on the day of the event.

The event will feature popular food trucks, including Papa’s Tacos, The Big Bad Wolf Food Truck, Kona Ice, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, and Vick’s Cotton Candy, ensuring a variety of food options for all tastes.

Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport is home to over 130 aircraft, ranging from single-engine props to business jets. With a 5,001 ft. runway and quick access to I-35, the airport offers a convenient alternative to the more congested airports in Oklahoma City.
