Past Guthrie FFA member Beau Davis exhibited yet another superior animal at NAILE (North American International Livestock Exposition) as his market lamb was chosen as reserve grand champion this past week.
The Davis family made the endeavor to the national show to compete with other animals and exhibitors from all 48 contiguous states and surrounding territories.
The North American International Livestock Exhibition is said to be “the largest all breed, purebred livestock event in the world.”
Davis’ lamb was selected as the second best market lamb of the entire show, giving Davis the opportunity to sell his animal at a premium.
Beau, a 2015 Guthrie High School graduate, is attending Oklahoma State University and continues his success in the FFA and highlights the community in which he came from.
In addition to his reserve grand champion, Davis exhibited the reserve grand crossbred and hampshire wethers. He is among several Oklahoma exhibitors who showed just how competitive Oklahoma agriculture is.
