Guthrie Junior High is celebrating a group of students who went above and beyond after Friday night’s football game between Guthrie and Blanchard.
Four students—Bailey Stout (8th), Hannah Shields (8th), Jacob Drake-Carpenter (8th), and Jaxson Drake-Carpenter (8th)—took it upon themselves to pick up trash in the endzone area once the game ended.
The students were not asked or assigned to do the work; they were recognized for their self-motivation and community pride in stepping up to keep Jelsma Stadium clean.
